Effluent Treatment Plants:

We can provide effluent treatment packages for a small housing development through to a complex industrial treatment plant coping with flows of 2,000 m3/d or more.  Technologies include physicochemico, biological and natural treatment solutions such as lagoons and reed beds

MBR Plants:
Advanced Membrane BioReactor (MBR) technology is a growth area to provide a very high standard of effluent quality with the added advantage of a relatively small footprint.  We can provide containerised MBR plants using low energy submerged membranes through to large tank installations or retrofits to upgrade existing failing plants.

The membrane modules are placed into modular stainless steel filters that are submerged in the main aerobic tank or in dedicated side stream MBR reactor tanks.  MBR plants can provide excellent treatment performance for a range of effluents with the benefit that the treated effluent is bacteria and virus free and suitable for re-use in many factory processes or for irrigation.  

Baleen Filter:
The Baleen Filter is a highly efficient, non-pressurised self-cleaning separation technology that offers reliable, trouble-free filtration to 25 microns without chemical assistance and 3 microns with chemicals, with more than 150 units deployed globally on a range of effluents and contaminated waters.

The photos above show two Baleen Filters in operation with the Imhoff Cones demonstrating the raw and filtered effluent quality.  Typically 80 to 95% of settleable solids are filtered out with a corresponding reduction in organic load and removal of colour.  Chemical assistance improves the performance and the FloccinTM range of flocculents presented below are ideal.

The FloccinAgents™ encapsulate the contaminants in strong flocs that rapidly form and settle leaving a treated water can often be reused or discharged directly to sewer.

The settled sludge has excellent dewatering properties and combined with small reaction and settlement tanks means existing treatment facilities can be quickly upgraded at low cost, thereby increasing your throughput and reducing costs.
